We pour what is drinking well this week
Josie opened the doors in 2019 with twelve stools, a marble bar salvaged from a bank and a list of forty wines. The room has barely changed. The list changes constantly.
We cook small plates: oysters shucked when you order them, leeks in the wood oven, terrine we make on Tuesdays, one braise that takes all day. We name the region rather than the label, because the region is what you can taste.
40 wines / 19 Tasmanian

Forty at one table, seventy on their feet
The back room was the wool store's sorting floor. Now it holds birthdays, wakes, engagement parties and the occasional small wedding, with a door that actually shuts and staff who stay with your room all night.
